SYNOPSIS: In addition to Liechtenstein, Gibraltar and Mauritius there are a number of other jurisdictions providing similar PIF’s including the Isle of Man, Jersey and Panama. In each case, the structure is basically similar with in particular, and not too surprisingly, Jersey, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar being very similar all having good regulatory environments and middle rank professional fees. However, out of the three, Gibraltar probably tips the others with respect to costs and also has better international access due to its proximity to Malaga airport in southern Spain. In the case of Panama, its Law 25/1995 is perhaps the most flexible and certainly the least expensive of all the potential jurisdictions.
