Things to Think About When Beginning a New Company
Many people are starting their own companies and becoming self employed nowadays, especially with the economy the way it is and so many people in need of work but so few jobs to go around. Perhaps your new company is just the thing to turn things around for you. Here are some things you should think about as you begin the process.
First, try to choose a name for your company that is unique, and that says something about your business. You want to stand out from the crowd — but you want to stand out in a good way.
Next, think about what kind of products or services your company will offer. Do some brainstorming and decide on the basics before hand so that you know where you’re going.
Start the process of company formation. You can do this through Companies House for a small fee, hire an outside firm or solicitor’s office assist you through the process.
Once you have finished your company registration, contact the tax office to find out what you need to do for tax planning. You can also call the newly self employed help line to ask for assistance, or hire an accountant or solicitor to walk you through the tax process for your new company.
Finally, launch your new business. Have a Web site made, print up some business cards, hand out fliers. You can also make a Facebook page or blog for your business to try to get the word out there.
