Richard Gregorian is a solicitor with over 20 years’ experience and the principal of Gregorian Emerson Family Law Solicitors, the only law firm able to offer a fully integrated legal and psychological approach to family breakdown. Prior to committing to full-time practice as a family law solicitor, Richard was a successful commercial law partner in the city of London, ranked as a leading individual in his field. From both his professional and personal experience, it became obvious to him that the current practise of family law lacked not only service levels demanded by commercial law clients but also the application of any psychological expertise in resolving family disputes, which are, after all, typically caused by human behaviour, decision-making and interaction, rather than legal issues.

His joint legal-psychological approach to family law in resolving disputes, in particular, involving children, has been supported by clients, parents, mental health care professionals working within the family justice system and politicians and adopts entirely unique and empathetic approach to family law which benefits both clients and their children.

Barry Spencer-Higginsis a qualified Grays Inn barrister and the CEO of the international SCF Tax Planning Group with over 20 years’ experience in establishing successful tax mitigation and planning structures for both domestic and international clients. In particular, he has been involved in setting up successful asset protection vehicles including private interest foundations and trusts for wealthy clients including those about to get married or in the process of remarrying/divorcing. Barry has written a number of professional tax planning books and has also been a regular contributor to many leading publications including the Financial Times International Magazine, the Financial Mail on Sunday, the International Herald Tribune and has given numerous TV and Radio interviews on financial and tax planning matters to the BBC, Sky News, Legal Network Television (LNTV) and Accountancy Age TV. He is an acknowledged expert in his field and, from direct personal experience, a great exponent of the joint legal-psychological approach to family law uniquely offered by SCF Gregorian Emerson Family Law Solicitors. Barry, together with Richard and Gavin believe that their alliance will enable SCF Gregorian Emerson to offer even more widely this unique set of services to clients be they legal, psychological or financial.

Gavin Emerson has practised in the area of mental health for over 20 years. His detailed understanding of human behaviour, decision-making and relationship dysfunction contributes significantly to ensuring that family breakdown and, therefore, clients’ cases are approached holistically rather than solely in a one-dimensional legal context. Gavin's involvement ensures that client's cases reflect the complexity of their concerns, particularly for the children in any litigation. Gavin is Director of Academic Studies of the prestigious Brief Strategic Therapy Foundation and has been instrumental in developing the brief strategic therapeutic approaches employed at out-clinics in Medico-Legal cases. He has a mental health background, having been involved in both the writing and teaching of courses for mental health professionals. Gavin has developed professional training courses in the brief treatment of anxiety and trauma that have subsequently been awarded post-graduate credits for psychiatrists, doctors and nurses.

Gavin runs London clinics at Harley Street, Fulham and Wimbledon. He specialises in anxiety management, the treatment of trauma and has considerable experience as an expert working on many Medico-Legal cases.
